Xerotherm

Xerotherm - Thermal Baselayer

The Xerotherm is the ultimate base layer for use under a drysuit. Made using Polartec® Powerstretch® which was originally developed for NASA, the Xerotherm traps a layer of air - a much better insulator than water - next to the skin, keeping the wearer drier and more comfortable. The unisex range is designed to be worn under another undersuit or on its own under a neoprene drysuit, it provides astonishing warmth without contributing to bulk or buoyancy.

further information

The Xerotherm is the ultimate base layer undersuit for drysuits. Made using Polartec® Powerstretch® which was originally developed for NASA, the Xerotherm traps a layer of air - a much better insulator than water - next to the skin, keeping the wearer drier and more comfortable. Features of the Xerotherm top include: flat seams for next-to-skin comfort and thumb loops to hold the sleeves in place during donning. These thumb loops should be removed from the thumb and pushed back under the wrist seals prior to diving.

The Xerotherm vest provides enhanced thermal protection for the body core when layered underneath a Xerotherm top or other undersuit, without increasing bulk around the arms.

Features of the leggings include: flat seams for next-to-skin comfort, uniquely designed secure foot pockets to ensure the leggings stay in place during a dive and a high waistband to prevent separation of the top and leggings during the dive.

Xerotherm Socks provide excellent thermal protection and comfort. Constructed using flat locked stitching and single layer high wicking fleece fabric, they protect the extremities and complement the Xerotherm undersuit range. They are low bulk and can be worn under other thermal socks without making drysuit boots too tight or uncomfortable.

The Xerotherm hat, which is warm even when wet, is ideal for pre and post dive thermal protection and complements the rest of the Xerotherm range.

The Xerotherm wrist warmer is designed to be used with drygloves, and bridges the gap between a diver's undersuit and dry glove liner. The wrist warmer sits below the drysuit seal, and allows air to equalise with the dryglove, preventing squeeze. In the case of a glove failure, the fabric is not too thick, meaning that water will not "flood" through the seal. The double layer of Xerotherm fabric on the inside of the wrist provides enhanced protection for an area where blood flows close to the skin surface. Hands will therefore stay warmer for longer.

Xerotherm - Features

Using ultra fast wicking fabric, the Drybase garments are the ideal alternative to cotton underneath a thinsulate or other undersuit. The garments' exceptional wicking performance means that the skin is kept dry and the wearer is much more comfortable during and after the dive, and is able to get the most out for the performance of their undersuit.
